Shot day!!!

So, I have been trying to start this blog for some time now. It would've been perfect to start it after our family trip to Lake Tahoe and tell about how wonderful that was, or our weekend trip up to Northern California and all the fun things we did, but no. I am going to start it on the day I spent 3 and 1/2 hours at the Dr. with Boston while he got 7 shots, one every 15 minutes. Well, blogs are to write anything you want, so this is as good a time as any, right? Boston has an egg allergy and had to get his MMR shot at an allergist so they could monitor his reaction. The MMR vaccine has an egg protien base. So, they slowly administer the vaccine slowly going deeper and deeper under the skin. I had been dreading this day since we made the appointment 2 months ago, but it wasn't nearly as dreadful as I thought it would be. Boston was so brave and did so well. He did cry and run to me anytime he thought the door was going to open and when he got the shots, but he got over each one fairly quick and we just had so much fun in between. Can you imagine trying to entertain a 15 month old wiggly boy in a small Doctor's office for 3 hours with needles coming in every 15 minutes? He did so good and even walked out happy and smiling!!! I think we have a stronger bond because of it!!!! I took some pictures with my phone to document the event. Look at that happy boy!!!

He is so brave! I don't know how you do it? When you shared with me the procedure I was just amazed that Boston could go through all of that with such courage!

I can't even imagine going through that? I don't know if I could have even shown up for an appointment like that. You both are so brave and I'm so glad he did so well. What a happy, good natured spirit.
