The beach bums

I LOVE taking pictures at the beach. Here are some from our latest excursion at one of the most beautiful beaches I've been to in California.

A few of my favorite things

Newport Beach is becoming one of my favorite places for daytrips. Besides having 2 very awesome friends who live there, there is some really cool stuff.

Need I say more? My favorite is the dark chocolate cupcake.

This is the kid's room at Swirls Frozen Yogurt. It is similar to Pinkberry (which I sampled for the first time today, but didn't like the flavors- all they had was original, coffee and green tea). The flavors at Swirls include Mango Passion Fruit, Blueberry (my fav), green tea. original and a rotating flavor. The one's I've tried are pineapple and green apple (another fav). So fresh and just SO GOOD!!!! Don't you just love this room?

And finally. . . .

Art-o-mat machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art. There are 82 active machines in various locations throughout the country. You pay $5 and receive a token to put in the machine. Then you can choose your piece of art by the artist. You never know what you are going to get. Very cool! And. . .

This is where the art-o-mat is located. It's called the Living Room Salon and Gallery. What a great concept. This picture is of the front desk in the lobby (which resembles a living room and displays works of art). Very cool!

Sneak Peak at Designer, Boston Forest's new trend.

Our photographers caught the hot new fashion designer, Boston Forest, as he was leaving his home wearing his one of his new designs. He has been reported to be the "one to watch" and fashionistas all over the world are keeping a close eye on his designs. Reviewers call him trendy, edgy but with a style that will stay (especially among the younger ages).

Because his designs haven't officially been launched yet (his tour starts the end of June) you can see that he has tried hard to escape the spotlight. These rare photos only give us a glimpse of what is to come in the fashion world.

We finally were able to get a statement from Boston and he said the current look he has on was inspired by putting on a pajama top upside down with the legs through the armholes. He calls this collection "The independence of a 2 year old".

He hopes to present some of the styles himself by being one of the models in his own runway show.
Watch out for his styles on all the celebrities.

What's this?

Boston was playing outside with his friends, Emi and Chloe, at their house and he comes up to me inside holding a little black thing asking "What's this?" He is saying over and over and I finally get him to loosen his grasp on the object a bit and it starts crawling all over his hand. He drops it and tries to pick it back up while he's still asking "what's this"?

It was a small fuzzy black spider. Thank goodness they don't freak me out!!!!

Just watching a movie, mom.

This is what I came downstairs to after my biweekly shower (ha ha- just kidding, I only take them weekly). Boston decided it would be way more fun to watch a movie from the comforts of this tent. And it's extra comfy if the tent is on the couch. Dad didn't have a choice in whether he wanted to be in the tent or not. This is how we watch movies now!!!

Weirdo. . .

Boston has been very good about getting his own tissue, blowing his nose, and throwing it away when he has a runny nose. EXCEPT this morning. Jeremiah was changing his diaper and he sneezed his normal super-juicy-2-sneezes-in-a-row Boston special and reached for the nearest thing he could find and wiped his nose with it. It just so happened to be a shoe.
What a weirdo. . . my little weirdo :)

Dressing up

So, Boston's becoming more and more independant every day. Recently, he has been wanting to dress himself. Normally he's trying to undress himself and prefers being in the buff. After putting clothes on him, he grabs a T-shirt out of his dresser and was very determined to put it one (even though he was completely dressed). He wouldn't let me take it off for a couple of hours and was walking around the house "penguin style". This is how he thinks a shirt should be worn, my little trendsetter.

My baby has a first name, it's B-O-S-T-ON

Boston has finally figured out who he is. We have a photo album of just him (his favorite person to look at) and he was pointing to himself and said his name. Oh- it's sooooo cute!!!! Now he can't get away with ignoring me when I call his name.

Oh, and he learned how to gargle a couple hours later. He thinks it's so funny. It makes me laugh every time.

Easter

We had the pleasure of hosting my brother and sister-in-law and their 2 daughters for Easter weekend. It was so fun to hang out with them and to meet our 2 month old niece (Allison) for the first time.

Boston wanted to hold Allison any chance he got. He would not move a muscle and would stroke her hair and lay his hand on her chest. He would get very upset when we would take her away from him. He is so tender and loves he younger cousins so much!

Here is Kayci with her new little sister.

Boston in his Easter outfit from his Nana. What a good looking kid.

Boston and Kayci looking for eggs.

Boston climbed up on the couch and snuggled up as close as he could to Alli.

Boston "helping" Kayci scoot around.

Kayci adored Miah and would get so excited whenever he was around. At the park she grabbed his hand and took him on a walk.

We sure love you guys!!!!
